Use a floor, roof, or toposolid to cut volume from a host toposolid.
Floor, roof, and toposolid elements which intersect toposolids are used to excavate volume from the host toposolid. For example, you can place a floor element in a sloping toposolid, use the excavate tool and remove the volume of the toposolid to the top of the intersecting floor, or use two overlapping toposolid elements and use one to excavate a parking lot.
Note: To increase the chances of cut success, when cutting or excavating toposolid elements, a Topography Cut Void Stability setting may be applied. This setting will apply a random shift (in the range from 0.002561 feet (0.7805928 mm) to 0.32771386333333330 feet (99.887185544000004711 mm)) in the x or y axis to the void geometry. The shift may slightly impact the accuracy of the void geometry. Any change to the geometry will be reported in a warning and in the journal file. The Topography Cut Void Stability setting is a project setting and is applied to toposolid elements and to
