Modify a Rebar Crank

Manually adjust the rebar crank orientation and rotation, when sketching or modifying rebar.

  1. Move the crank. Select the rebar.
  2. Press the SPACEBAR to rotate the rebar shape and crank orientation.
  3. Invert the crank orientation. Select the rebar.
  4. Click Modify | Structural Rebar tabMode panel (Edit Sketch).
  5. Click to invert the crank orientation.
  6. Click Modify | Structural Rebar Edit Rebar Sketch tabMode panel (Finish Edit Mode) to view the orientation of the crank.
  7. Rotate the cranks. Select the rebar.
  8. In the Properties palette, modify the Rotation at Start and/or Rotation at End parameters.
  9. Click Modify | Structural Rebar tabMode panel (Edit Sketch). In the Properties palette, modify the Rotation at Start and/or Rotation at End parameters.
  10. Click Modify | Structural Rebar tabMode panel (Edit Family). Click Modify tab Properties panel (Family Types). In the Rebar Shape Parameters dialog, modify the Rotation at Start and/or Rotation at End parameters. This changes the rotation for the cranks or hooks for all bars using this shape, once it is loaded into the project.
Tip: You can use Edit Bars to rotate just some of the bars in the set, for example the corner bars in a column.
