VREDPro is required for cluster rendering.
Clusters enables multiple machines to simulate the same scene, in-sync with each other, and display the result on a cluster of screens. Use this to deploy your VRED environment to complex multi-screen setups such as video walls, CAVEs, domes, or any custom layout of displays. Set this up using the Windows and Viewports section of the Display Configuration.
Cluster rendering splits the work over multiple displays and reduces the computational cost, replacing one machine powering multiple displays. Clustering enables the rendering load to be shared across multiple machines, each responsible for rendering one display.
To do this, use the Cluster Setup Tool. On Windows systems, VREDClusterService is installed as a Windows service by the VRED installer; however, access to all services is blocked, by default. Use the VREDClusterSetup tool to enable the used services and configure which hosts are allowed to use those services. There is also a RedHat8 Cluster service startup script.
