Learn how to turn an object into a light source in VRED.
For additional information on lights, see the following:
Video captions: Activate Raytracing in the toolbar. Open the Material Editor and create a plastic material. Allocate it to a geometry you want to define as the light source. In the Material Editor, select the default environment, then in the Environment Material section, ensure Is Visible is checked to make it active. Next, in the Color Correction section, change Exposure to 0. Now, there’s no more lighting in the scene. Select Plastic. Click the Incandescence section. Adjust the Intensity to 1000 and press Enter. Click the Color swatch, select red, then click Accept to change the color of the object light. Activate Use as Light Source (Raytracing Only). Your geometry will now be transformed into a light source. Here, too, the size of the light source depends on the intensity. Maximum flexibility is achieved when you work with object lights. Your lights can influence every form, as well as light emission textures, via Use Texture.
