Important Updates

Find information on the latest required Windows and Linux drivers, minimum requirements for VR/XR runtimes, VRED Core updates, and installation changes.

Drivers

For Windows users, the minimum NVIDIA driver required is v.551.23 or above for RGB raytracing and spectral raytracing. To use DLSS-RR, you will need the NVIDIA driver v.537.13 or above; otherwise, VRED will default to the DLSS from version 2024.1.

For Linux users, the minimum NVIDIA driver required is v.550.54 or above for RGB raytracing and spectral raytracing. To use DLSS-RR, you will need the NVIDIA driver v.535.104 or above; otherwise, VRED will default to the DLSS from version 2024.1.

VR/XR

For VR/XR, the minimum requirements regarding runtimes are the following:

SteamVR 2.5.5 or above for HMDs with SteamVR (OpenVR, OpenXR)
VarjoBase 4.3.1 or above for Varjo HMDs with Varjo Base (Varjo native mode, OpenXR)
Meta Quest Link App 65.0.0.499.343 or above for Meta/Oculus HMDs with Meta Quest Link App (OpenXR)
VIVE XR Elite requires VIVE Business Streaming v.1.15.11c and the VIVE business Streaming App v.1.0.21.14
