Question: Does the Vault Connector require Vault Gateway?
A: No
Question: Is data encrypted during transit?
A: Yes, the Vault Connector connection to Fusion Manage uses HTTPS protocol for communications.
Question: Can multiple vaults connect to the same Fusion Manage tenant and workspace?

A: The BOM properties will get updated based on the properties mapping. If fields need to be preserved, users can skip the mapping for those fields. BOM links that are not originated from Vault will be preserved.
Question : Can the connector be used without using Vault Items? If not, how can items be established without causing workload for engineering?
A: No. Vault Connector requires the use of Vault Items, which currently are the only Entity Type that can be synced to Fusion Manage.
Question : Does the connector support the SWX Plugin?
A: Vault Items promoted from SWX files are supported to be synced to Fusion Manage.
Question : Can the connector handle content center parts in a similar way like Upchain (they get released automatically)? Can the content center be synced with Fusion Manage automatically?
A: Vault can place a Content Center part in a released state by default when it is first added to Vault. However, since the part did not undergo a state transition, it will not automatically synchronize with Fusion Manage. It will get synchronized when it is used as a component in an assembly, when the assembly gets synchronized, or it can be synchronized manually.
Question : The connector does not automatically start after a system update or reboot, what should I do?
A: In the Computer Management on the system, navigate to the Services list. Locate the Autodesk Vault Connector Server. Edit the properties and change the Startup Type from Manual to Automatic.
