Map Vault Properties

After selecting a workspace, the user must map the properties between Vault and Fusion Manage. This defines which Vault property data maps to which Fusion Manage field during synchronization.

  1. From the Vault Property dropdown, select the desired Vault property.
  2. Click the Fusion Manage Property dropdown, and select the corresponding property in your Fusion Manage workspace.
  3. Click the Add button.

This table illustrates all the data types that are supported:

Vault Data Type Mapped Fusion Manage Field Type
Numeric Float; Integer; Long
Bool CheckBox
DateTime Date
String SingleLineText; Paragraph; ParagraphWithoutLineBreaks; BOMUomPickList
  1. Select the row of the mapping you wish to remove.
  2. Click the Remove button.
  1. Select the row of the mapping you wish to replace.
  2. From the same dropdown, select the new mappings you would like to replace with.
  3. Click the Replace button.

Click Apply to save your mapping configuration.

Fusion Manage field validation

Fusion Manage fields can have field validators. A validator sets a rule for the data a field accepts, such as a minimum length. Administrators configure these validators in the Fusion Manage field settings.

During an Item sync, the Vault Connector writes each mapped Vault property value into its Fusion Manage field. If a value does not meet the validator for that field, Fusion Manage rejects it and the Item fails to sync.

For example, if the Fusion Manage Description field has a minimum length of 10 characters and a Vault Item's description is shorter, the Item does not sync.

Before you sync, confirm that your Vault property values meet the validation rules of the Fusion Manage fields they map to. To review these rules, check the field validators in Fusion Manage. See Field Validators in the Fusion Manage help.
