Assign to Item from the BOM View

Assign items and virtual components to other items from the BOM view.

Assign To Rules

These rules apply when assigning items in the BOM view.

• You can assign an item to the top BOM row item only if the top row is selected.

• You can select more than one BOM row item for assignment, provided that the selection meets this criteria:

  • Selection set is only components.
  • Selection set consists of uncommitted rows.

1. Assign to Item from BOM View

2. In the BOM view, select one or more items that are not already assigned, right-click, and select Assign To.

   The Find dialog opens.

3. Browse to or search for the item(s) to which you want to assign the selected item.

4. Select the item(s) and click OK.

The item in the BOM is now assigned to the specified item(s).
