Sync Items to Fusion Manage
The Vault Connector allows users to synchronize Vault Items and their associated data directly to a Fusion Manage workspace. This can be done on-demand from the Vault client or automatically as part of a lifecycle state change.
Prerequisites for Syncing
Before you can use the Sync to Fusion Manage
or Open in Fusion Manage
commands, the following conditions must be met:
- The Vault Connector must be enabled in the ADMS Console.
- Property mappings must be configured between Vault and the target Fusion Manage workspace.
The Synchronization Process
When an Item is synced from Vault to Fusion Manage, the connector performs the following actions in sequence:
- Creates a corresponding item in the target Fusion Manage workspace.
- Populates the item's Bill of Materials (BOM) based on the Vault Item's BOM.
- Uploads and attaches relevant files to the Fusion Manage item.
Synced Attachments
The synchronization process includes the following types of attachments from the Vault Item:
- Direct attachments (excluding design files).
- DWF attachments from primary and tertiary linked files.
- Design representation attachments (such as PDF or STEP files) from primary and tertiary linked files.
Important Considerations
- Item Revisions: The Vault Connector synchronizes Item data but does not sync the Item's revision history. Each sync updates the existing record in Fusion Manage to match the current version in Vault.
- Open in Fusion Manage: The
Open in Fusion Manage
command is only available for Items that have been successfully synchronized at least once.
