Access the Trash Bin
Access the Trash Bin to view deleted files and folders in Vault. The Trash Bin provides a temporary holding area where you can review deleted items before they are permanently removed.
Access the Trash Bin
Open the Vault client
Locate the Trash Bin icon in the left navigation pane
Click the Trash Bin icon to display all items currently in the Trash Bin
The Trash Bin interface displays:
- List of deleted items, including files and folder names
- Property columns: Name, Folder Path, Deleted By, and Date Deleted
- Sorting and filtering options by date, type, or user
- Action buttons: Restore, Permanently Delete/Empty
Navigate the Trash Bin interface
The Trash Bin interface provides several ways to organize and find deleted items:
- Sort items: Click column headers to sort by Name, Folder Path, Deleted By, or Date Deleted
- Filter items: Use the filtering options to narrow down the list by specific criteria
- View details: Select an item to view additional information about the deleted file or folder
Each item in the Trash Bin displays:
- Name: The original name of the deleted file or folder
- Folder Path: The location where the item was originally stored
- Deleted By: The username of the person who deleted the item
- Date Deleted: When the item was moved to the Trash Bin
This information helps you identify which items you want to restore or permanently delete.
