The Vault Connector synchronizes Vault Items and BOMs to Fusion Manage. This native integration automates item and BOM synchronization, attaches neutral format files, and maps attributes between systems.

Vault 2026.1 introduces the Vault Connector as a native, out-of-the-box connector that bridges design data management and process management systems. The connector installs on the Vault Server and synchronizes data in one direction from Vault Professional to Fusion Manage. With built-in notifications, configurable data flows, and support for multiple Vaults within a single Fusion Manage tenant, teams save hours of manual effort and avoid errors.

What the Vault Connector does

The Vault Connector automates the flow of data between Vault Professional and Fusion Manage:

• Synchronizes Vault Items to Fusion Manage workspace
• Creates and updates BOMs based on Vault file relationships
• Attaches neutral format files (DWF, DWFx, STEP, DXF, PDF)
• Maps properties between systems based on configuration
• Tracks synchronization status with dedicated Vault properties
• Provides notifications on sync success or failure

Requirements

Before using the Vault Connector, ensure the following requirements are met:

• Vault Professional 2026.1 (or later) license for the connector service account
• Fusion Manage subscription with Items workspace access
• Vault service account with access to all Vaults on the server
• Vault Items in use (connector synchronizes at the Item level)
• Internet access from the Vault Server

Synchronization methods

Items can be synchronized in two ways:

• On-Demand: Users manually push one or more Items from Vault to Fusion Manage at any time. Only users with the "JobQueueAdd" permission can use the Sync to Fusion Manage action. A toast notification appears after every sync attempt.
• Automated: Synchronization triggers automatically as part of a lifecycle state change, such as when an Item is released. The task processes within one minute after the state changes.

For Vault Office users, synchronization is limited to the automated process triggered by a lifecycle state change. The on-demand Sync to Fusion Manage action is not available.

Synchronization status

Once configured, the status of synchronization is tracked using three dedicated Vault properties:

• Fusion Manage Link State: Displays an icon indicating Up to Date or Out of Date
• Fusion Manage Sync Status: Shows Successful or Error
• Fusion Manage Synced Date: Records the date and time of the last sync

Connector specifications

The Vault Connector operates with the following specifications:

• Installs on Vault Server, not with AVFS
• One-way push from Vault to Fusion Manage
• Multiple Vaults in the same environment can connect to one Fusion Manage tenant
• Properties synchronized from Vault to Fusion Manage use Vault as the source of truth (changes in Fusion Manage will be overwritten on next sync)
• Logs all connector activities in ADMS Console logs
