Creating control data

You can create a new, blank control data at any time. Alternatively, you can import control data into InfoWorks.

To create new control data:

1. In the Explorer window or Model Group window, right-click a model group.
2. Select New | Control from the context menu.

   The New Object Naming dialog is displayed.

3. Type a name for the control data and click OK.

The new control data will be checked out when created. Control data can be edited by Associating Control Data with a Network and then adding and editing control information for the objects in the network. Alternatively, control data can be edited independently of the network in the Control Grid. When you have finished making changes, you must check the control data in. It is not checked in when you check in the associated network.
