  • Updated System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager dependency alignment with supported .NET runtime.
  • Advance Steel 2027.0.1 and Advance Steel Object Enabler 2027.0.1 now support manual configuration of the SQL LocalDB version used by the application. This enhancement allows you to use newer SQL LocalDB versions, including SQL LocalDB 2025, in addition to the default SQL LocalDB 2022 version installed with Advance Steel 2027.

    • Configure the SQL LocalDB version for Advance Steel and Advance Steel Object Enabler.
    • Update the ASSettings_Advance.xml configuration file.
    • Validate the active SQL LocalDB version.
    • Revert to the default SQL LocalDB 2022 configuration if needed.

  • Added weight for the nuts standard EN 14399-3.
  • Added values for U (lateral area) and G (unit weight) for AISC 15 Equal Angle Metric.
  • Corrected the weight value for Lindab C200x2.5 section.
  • Connection "Cold Rolled Floor Beam, Inset - Cleat from Supplier": corrected the hole tolerance for Ayrshire cleats AYR CW/1, CW/I1-CW, CW/I2, I3, and I4.
  • Fixed crash in custom Steel Connections written using .NET API in a scenario where the locale is set to German.
  • Fixed an issue where numbers in BOM lists didn't have the correct format when comma was set as digital separator in regional settings.
  • Added a default in Management Tools that handles rotating user profile header cuts.
  • "Cold Rolled Floor Beam, Inset - Cleat from Supplier": Incorrect hole tolerance for Ayrshire cleats AYR CW/I2, I3, and I4.
  • Fixed an issue where Advance Steel could crash during drawing updates and prevent registered drawings from opening.
  • Fixed an issue with Advance Steel Migration tool crashing when selecting the help button.
  • Fixed an issue where Reference Manager stopped working when adding a .dwg file having Advance Steel elements if Advance Steel was installed.
  • Corrected bolt lengths for bolts Lindapter Holo-Bolt M10, M12.

Security Updates

  • .NET: Updated the .NET component used by Advance Steel to .NET10.
  • SQLLocalDB: Updated the SQLLocalDB component used by Advance Steel databases to Microsoft SQL Server 2022 LocalDB.
  • SQLite: Updated SQLite to version 3.49.1.
  • Entity Framework: Updated Entity Framework component to version 6.5.1 (Microsoft deprecated older versions; no security updates for them).
  • StepTools: Updated StepTools component to version 20.1 to prevent malicious crafted files from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows.
