To Find and Replace Paths of References

Locates all references that use a specified path from all the references that you selected, and replaces all occurrences of that path with a new path that you specify.

1. Click View tab Palettes panel External References Palette. Find
2. On the External References palette, make sure all references are displayed by switching the Missing toggle off.
3. In the File References pane, select the references that contain the paths you want to update, right-click and then choose Find and Replace.
   Note: It is recommended to choose Select New Path from the contextual menu if you want to update the path for a single reference.
4. In the Find and Replace Selected Paths dialog box, do the following:
   1. In the Find Saved Path text box, enter the last saved path to search for or click the [...] Ellipsis button to specify a path.
      Note: The Find Saved Path text box is pre-populated with the last saved folder location of the selected references.
   2. In the Replace With text box, enter a new path or click the [...] Ellipsis button to specify a new path to replace the saved path.
5. Click Replace All.
6. In the Replace Complete message box, review the summary message which displays the number of updated references and failed to update references, and then click OK.
