To Edit an Xref in a Separate Window

1. Click View tab Palettes panel External References Palette. Find
2. On the External References palette, make sure all references are displayed by switching the Missing toggle off.
3. In the File References pane, right-click external drawing reference that you want to edit and choose Open.

   The source file for the selected reference opens in a new drawing window, where you can edit and save changes to the drawing.
