To Detach a Data Link Associated with a Data Extraction (DXEX) File
Detach a DXEX File from a Table
Click within a cell of the table that contains the data link to detach.
Note:
Don't select the border of the table as it doesn't provide the correct context to detach a data link.
Right-click over the selected cell and choose Data Extraction
Detach Data Link.
The data link to the DXEX file is removed from the table, but not the drawing.

Click
Insert tab
Reference panel
Find
.
On the External References palette, make sure all references are displayed by switching the Missing toggle off.
In the File References pane, select the DXEX file you want to detach.
Right-click the Data Extraction - [
filename.dxex
] item and then choose Detach.
