To Detach an Image

1. Click Click Insert tab Reference Panel Find.
2. On the External References palette, make sure all references are displayed by switching the Missing toggle off.
3. In the File References pane, select the image you want to detach.
4. With the image selected, right-click and choose Detach.

   The image is no longer linked to the drawing file, and all instances of the image are removed from the drawing.
