To Create Underground Storage

Learn how to add an underground storage object to your drainage project.

1. Click Home tab Create Design panel Underground Storage drop-down Create Underground Storage .
2. In the Create Underground Storage dialog box, specify the following:
   • storage name and optional description
   • storage depth and elevation
   • storage layer name.
3. Click OK.
4. In your drawing, sketch the underground storage footprint in your drawing as closed geometry.

To Create an Underground Storage from an Object

1. Click Home tab Create Design panel Underground Storage drop-down Create Underground Storage from Object .
2. Select a pre-drawn object with closed geometry.
3. In the Create Underground Storage dialog box, specify the following:
   • name and optional description
   • storage depth and elevation
   • storage layer name.
4. Click OK.

Pipes can snap and connect to an underground storage object as in any gravity pipe network connection (see To Work With Editing Pipe Networks). Connected pipes then appear on the Inflows and Outflows tabs of the Underground Storage Properties dialog box.
