To Redefine Pond from Surface

Learn to change the geometry of a previously defined surface-based pond.

1. Click Surface Pond tab Modify panel Redefine from Surface . Alternatively, you can choose Redefine from Surface in the right-click menu.
2. Select the surface in the drawing.
3. Enter the top elevation of the pond. All the potential areas with the same elevation are highlighted, and you can pick a point within the new area you want your pond to be placed.
4. If you don't know exactly what the top elevation of the pond is, but there's a closed contour that represents the pond you want, you can select it to define the pond boundary.
5. After you pick a point or a contour, the pond is automatically updated with the new information.
