Edit Feature Settings - Pond Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to view and change pond-related settings.

This topic documents settings in all pond-related Edit Settings dialog boxes (drawing-level, feature-level, and command-level).

Drawing-level ambient settings are identified by the drawing icon.
Pond feature settings are listed near the top of this dialog box, after the General property group, and are identified by the pond icon.
Pond command settings are identified by the command icon.

Feature Line Creation

Use these settings to specify feature line extraction settings for ponds.

Feature Line Name Template: Specifies the default name formats for extracted feature lines. Click in the Value column, and click to make changes in the Name Template dialog box.
Feature Lines to Create: Specifies extraction which feature lines to create. Select Either Extract all (including any interior contours) or Extract top and bottom.
Create Dynamic Link: Specifies the dynamic link status of the created feature lines. Select True for dynamic or False for static.

Use these settings to specify feature line extraction settings for ponds.

Pond Style: Specifies the default pond style for pond creation. Click in the Value column, and click to make changes in the Pond Style dialog box.
Feature Line Style: Specifies the default feature line style for extracted feature lines. Click in the Value column, and click to make changes in the Line Style dialog box.

Use these settings to specify default name formats.

Pond Name Template: Specifies the default template with which ponds are named on creation. Click in the Value column, and click to make changes in the Name Template dialog box.

Use these settings to specify default feature line extraction settings for ponds.

Freeboard: Specifies the default freeboard depth from the top of the pond that determines how close the water level can rise to the top before indicating a flood risk.
Depth Increment: Specifies the default consistent depth between each depth stage.
Storage Calculation Method: Specifies the default storage calculation method for the pond. Select Surface volume, Conic approximation, or Average end area. If the pond is created from a surface, Surface volume is always applied.

Use these settings to specify default feature line extraction settings for ponds.

Infiltration Enabled: Enables the infiltration process for ponds on creation.
Infiltration Type: Specifies what the default infiltration to consider. Either Bottom and side, Bottom, or Side.
Bottom Infiltration Rate: Specifies the default rate of infiltration through the bottom of the filter area.
Side Infiltration Rate: Specifies the default rate of infiltration through the sides of the filter area.
Safety Factor: Specifies a the default reduction in infiltration rate to account for silting or poor maintenance.

Use these settings to specify feature line curve extraction settings for ponds.

Default Curve Radius: Specifies the default curve radius applied to vertices when using Fillet Pond or Add Curve commands while editing ponds.
