Use this dialog box to define names, descriptions, and representative baselines when creating a channel.
- Name

Specifies the unique channel name.
- Description
- Specifies an optional channel description.
- Style

Specifies a style from the drop-down to apply to the current channel.
Create new. Opens the
Channel Style dialog box to add a new style.
Create copy of current selection. Opens the
Channel Style dialog box with a copy of the settings of the currently selected style. Rename, edit, and apply as needed.

Edit current selection. Opens the
Channel Style dialog box for the currently selected channel style. Edit and apply as needed.
Pick from drawing. Enables the selection of a channel in the drawing to specify its channel style.
Baseline
This section establishes the linear geometry for the channel.
- Feature Line

Specifies the source feature line representing the new channel.
- Allows manually selecting a feature line from the drawing.
- Alignment/Profile

Alignment. Specifies the alignment representing the new channel.
- Allows manually selecting an alignment from the drawing.
Profile. Specifies the associated profile representing the new channel.- Allows manually selecting a profile from the drawing.
Define a station range. Enables stationing along the channel.
Start Station. Specifies the starting station for the channel. Click
to manually select a station location in the drawing.
End Station. Specifies the ending station for the channel. Click
to manually select a station location in the drawing.
