Apple ProRes RAW

Apple ProRes RAW clips are supported in MediaHub. Clips recorded with Atomos recorders and the iPhone 17 Pro can be imported into the application. Refer to Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW Authorized Products for a complete list of authorized products supporting this format.

The following Apple ProRes RAW options can be modified in the Format Specific Options:

Apple ProRes RAW file properties, such as ISO, orientation, and other metadata, can be viewed in the Metadata tab of the Preview panel in MediaHub. Metadata related to the recording device is available in the Attributes section and in the Pre-Processing menu.

OpenEXR

The OpenEXR JPEG 2000 (HTJ2K) compression is available for Media Import, Media Export, and Cache and Renders.

HTJ2K is a modern, high-performance compression algorithm integrated into OpenEXR 3.4, designed for improved file size optimization and speed. It supports both lossless and lossy compression for high-dynamic-range (HDR) image data.

Compared to traditional JPEG 2000, HTJ2K is faster and offers better compression ratios, making it well suited for high-resolution studio workflows and digital cinema.

The available compression types are:

HTJ2K 256: Encodes chunks of 256 scanlines, resulting in slightly smaller file sizes.
HTJ2K 32: Encodes chunks of 32 scanlines, better suited for multi-threading and faster performance.
