The version of the Open Clip specification has been updated to version 9. This version of the XML schema has been updated to add support for the Bytes Value type. This new type can be used to carry opaque binary metadata to and from file headers.
Open Clips created in the 2027.1 version use version 9 of the format and are not compatible with previous versions of the application. Studios with automated Open Clips management should include the version tag in the Open Clip when using the Bytes value type to avoid issues with previous versions of the application.
