You can use the Adjust Selected Network Values dialog to adjust parameters (properties) for a selection of one or more of the following types of objects:
- Nodes
- Links
- Subcatchments
You can adjust a numerical value or change an option for an object as follows:
- Select the objects that you want to adjust. The selection can include a set of nodes, links and subcatchments.
- Choose Selection operations
Adjust selected values from the Selection menu. This displays the
Adjust Selected Network Values dialog.
- In the dialog, choose the type of object that you want to adjust.
- In the Field dropdown, choose the parameter you want to adjust.
Tip: The Network Data Fields topic contains hyperlinks to all the object data fields topics, where you can find descriptions for the Fields.
The type of unit used by the selected field (if applicable) is displayed in the lower box.
- When the Field is selected, the types of node, link or subcatchment, for which the selected Field is relevant, are checked in the Object Type box. Uncheck any types you do not want adjusted.
- Specify the adjustment:
- In the Adjustment Value box, for numeric fields, enter a value that is used to adjust or replace the existing value. For Fields with a list of options, choose a replacement option from the dropdown. Or turn an option on or off.
- For a numerical value, select how the value is to be adjusted by choosing the relevant Adjustment Type.
- If you selected either Adjust by an absolute value or Adjust by a percentage, set the Adjustment Direction by choosing if the adjustment is to increase or decrease the value.
- If want to replace the flag assigned to the selected Field, check the Adjust Flag box and choose a replacement flag from the dropdown located to the right of the Adjustment Value.
You can only replace a flag if you are adjusting the value.
- Select Apply. This lets you change the parameter without closing the dialog and allows you to make further adjustments.
A message is displayed asking you to confirm the adjustment. Click Yes to apply the adjustment or No to cancel it.
- Repeat Steps 3 to 8 if you want to make further adjustments.
- Click OK to save all the adjustments and close the dialog.
Note: Rounding Rules - When adjusting integer values by a percentage or using a multiplier, non-integer outcomes are always rounded towards zero. For example, a value of 3.6 is rounded down to 3 while a value of -3.6 is rounded up to -3.
