What is Autodesk App Manager?

The Autodesk App Manager is an online resource where you can browse and purchase Apps (including product-specific content such as models, training materials, and eBooks) – and is available for several Autodesk Products. You can download some items for free, and some for a price. Purchases and downloads can be tracked online, or by using the Autodesk App Manager.

How do I use Autodesk App Manager

Use the App Manager to view, update, uninstall and get help on Apps downloaded from the Autodesk App Store (link below).

Right-click an App from the list to:

• Access Help

• Install updates

  • App Updates, a blue box with white download arrow in the icon view indicates an update is available.

• Remove and uninstall the App

• Access the detail page for the App to provide a rating or review.

• Click one of the View icons in the upper right to toggle between detail view and icon view.

• Language, right-click anywhere in the Autodesk App Manager dialog (except on an App) to select a language to use in App Manager. By default, the App Manager will use the current operating system language.

How does Autodesk test and certify the Apps?

Testing starts with the standard testing that is used for all Inventor Certified Applications. Once the App is shown to meet the testing standard, the App is approved for publishing.

You can directly access the Autodesk App Store website here: https://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/.

To access Autodesk App Store from within Inventor: On the upper right-hand corner of Inventor, click the Autodesk App Store icon.
