To Open an Assembly from Content Center

Select a Content Center assembly, and insert it in a file.

  1. Click File glyph Open glyph Open from Content Center. open from cc
  2. In the Open from Content Center dialog box, find the assembly family whose member you want to open.
  3. Double-click the part family to open the Family dialog box.
  4. Select the member to open, and click OK.
Note: For assemblies opened from Content Center, an assembly file is created in the Content Center Files folder. When you open a previously placed assembly, the existing assembly file is compared with the assembly from the library. If the library includes a newer version of the assembly, the original assembly file and all occurrences of the assembly in your assemblies are updated. If the existing assembly file is read-only, Content Center cannot open the assembly.
