Assembly Codeblocks Reference

What's New: 2027

The Assembly category provides blocks to get or set aspects of components, component patterns, or constraints.

Component

The following codeblocks are used with components and component patterns:

Get or Set Component

Provides the means to Get or Set attributes of a component in the active document.

Available attributes are:

Get or Set Component Pattern

Provides the means to Get or Set top level component pattern attributes. Only top level component patterns are considered.

For example, a wheel assembly includes a wheel, tire, and lug nut pattern. In the context of the wheel assembly, the lug nut pattern is accessible with this codeblock. If the wheel assembly is subsequently patterned, the lug nut pattern is no longer at the top level and is not accessible with this codeblock.

Available attributes are:

Choose Component

Provides the means to select a component within the active assembly.

Choose Component Pattern

Provides the means to select a top level component pattern within the active assembly.

Constraint

Get or Set Constraint

Provides the means to get or set an assembly constraint suppress state.

Get or Set Joint

Provides the means to get or set an assembly joint suppress state.

Choose Constraint

Provides the means to select an assembly constraint. Choose from a list of all constraints in the assembly.

Choose Joint

Provides the means to select an assembly joint. Choose from a list of all joints in the assembly.
