Cooling Channel Optimization
The Cooling Channel Optimization analysis automatically adjusts the positions of existing cooling channels to optimize cycle time and warpage.
Use the Cooing Channel Optimization to determine the optimal layout of your cooling channels, to optimize their performance and to contain costs.
Mold construction method
The analysis supports two independent mold construction methodologies:

Limitations of Cooling Channel Optimization
1D Channels only
The analysis is available for Beam elements only. For 3D channels, extract the channel centerlines and mesh as beam elements.
Limitations of the "Additive" construction method
- The software will not support the addition of Bubblers and Baffles.
Limitations of the "Drill and Plug" construction method
- If a circuit contains some sections/elements with fixed locations defined, then the section is considered fixed.
- Branched cooling channels are not supported. If identified, the solver will exit.
Hoses
Hoses modeled within a cooling channel are not optimized.
