Explanation

This error occurs when the solver's automatic constraint placement algorithm cannot identify enough suitable nodes to properly constrain the part during analysis. A minimal set of constraints are essential for a warp analysis to define a reference position for the part and prevent rigid body motion. The automatic constraint system looks for nodes at boundaries, edges, or surfaces that are suitable for applying constraints based on geometric and mesh characteristics.

Insufficient candidate constraint nodes can result from:

• Complex or irregular geometry that doesn't have clear constraint locations
• Poor mesh quality in areas where constraints would typically be placed
• Geometric features that make automatic constraint detection difficult
• Contact surfaces between the part and the insert
• Parts with geometry that requires specific constraint strategies not handled by the automatic system

Resolution

• Uncheck mesh aggregation for 3D warp analysis, or manually place the constraints (Boundary Conditions tab > Constraints and Loads panel > Constraints) to limit the rigid body motion.
• Rerun the analysis.
