Change the Draw Order of Details

You can change the draw order of details in a view. Draw order options are available when you select details in the view.

This functionality is also available in the Family Editor, and for raster images.

To change the draw order

1. In the drawing area, select one or more details.

   The following tools become available:

   On the Modify <element> tabArrange panel.

   • (Bring to Front). Immediately places the selected details in front of all other details in the view.
   • (Send to Back). Immediately places the selected details behind all other details in the view.
   • (Bring Forward). Moves the selected details one step closer to the front of all other details.
   • (Send Backward). Moves the selected details one step closer to the back of all other details.
On the Modify <element> tabPlace panel.
• (Background). Moves the element to the background of the view.
• (Foreground). Moves the element to the foreground of the view.
2. Click the desired option to move the details.

Note: Detailed elements placed in the Foreground or Background can be sent behind the model geometry.
