Add Area Boundary Conditions

Place an area boundary condition on a host

1. In the Analyze tab Structural Analytical Model panel (Boundary Conditions).
2. In the Modify | Area Boundary Condition contextual ribbon Boundary Conditions panel, select (Area) and from the Area Boundary, select (On Host).
3. Select an analytical panel to place the boundary condition.
4. The boundary condition is placed on the entire area of the panel.
   
   
   

Place an area boundary condition by defining the boundary

1. In the Analyze tab Structural Analytical Model panel (Boundary Conditions).
2. In the Modify | Area Boundary Condition contextual ribbon Boundary Conditions panel, select (Area) and from the Area Boundary, select (Define Boundary).
3. Select the host. Only supporter elements will be highlighted. A tooltip will indicate the supported element type.
4. Draw the contour of the area boundary condition.
5. Click (Finish Edit Mode) to save changes and exit sketch mode.
6. The boundary condition is placed for the defined area.
