XR workflows are enhanced with a more flexible XR menu that lets you detach, arrange, and re‑dock key panels side by side, improving navigation, interaction, and visibility during immersive sessions.
New capabilities such as Gather All for aligning participants, Python-based custom XR tools, clearer Hover and Grab feedback, and full support for hierarchical Variant Sets further streamline collaboration and control in XR.
The new XR menu introduced in VRED 2027 now allows submenus such as Variant Sets, Viewpoints, Collaboration, and Tools to be detached and arranged side by side for more efficient access during a session. These panels can be easily re-docked at any time. In addition, the XR menus now distinguish between Hover and Grab states by highlighting the menu border when the menu is grabbed.
You can now use Gather All in the Collaboration module to bring all participants to your position. Participants inherit your position and rotation so everyone faces the same direction.
You can now add custom XR tools directly to the XR main menu bar with Python.
In addition, the XR menu now supports the latest Variant Sets features, including grouping and hierarchical structures. See Variant Sets for more information.
