The known limitations and issues in this version of InfoWorks WS Pro are listed below.

Known Limitations

Cloud Databases Release Version Status DB Update Required
User permissions cannot be applied to cloud databases. Any member in a team will have access to the team's hub. 2024 Open

Ground models greater than 5GB cannot be uploaded. 2024 Open
Result objects cannot be copied to a cloud database. These simulations must be re-run. 2024 Open
Cloud Simulations Release Version Status DB Update Required
Simulations beyond the monthly quota cannot be run in parallel. There is currently no way to increase or share monthly quota. 2024 Open
Leakage locator and Shutdown runs are not available in the cloud. Refer to the differences page for more information. 2024 Open
Cloud simulations will download results to the local machine when selected. InfoWorks WS Pro currently does not monitor local storage capacity for the results, and the software may freeze if it runs out of storage. 2024 Open
Engine Changes Release Version Status DB Update Required

Compilers for the cloud and on-premises simulation engines have been updated to meet security requirements and improve consistency between cloud and on-premise. This may cause differences in results for numerically sensitive models that have difficulty converging.

A categorised list of known issues in this version is included below. While this list is not comprehensive, it provides a useful reference of important issues to guide you as you upgrade your software and database versions.

Simulations Reported In Status DB Update Required

For calibration runs, the scaling factor obtained from the calibration process is applied uniformly across the entire network. As a result, if the scaling factor is too large or too small, it may unintentionally alter the friction type of certain links, which is not the intended behavior.

Ruby Library Scripts Reported In Status DB Update Required

Library scripts in the same model group can be loaded using 'require_relative'. However, once a library has been loaded into memory, any changes to the library script will not be picked up automatically. Changes can be picked up by either restarting the application, or by running the library script by using the 'Run' button on the Ruby script window.

*DB Update Required - Issues in rows with a "Yes" in this column require the database version to be updated to at least the version it was initially resolved in. For most engine-related issues, you will need to upgrade the software as well as the database.
