On the Patterns tab of the Modify DGN Export Setup dialog (see Exporting to DGN), you can map Vasari fill patterns to specific hatch patterns in DGN as needed.
By default, all the Vasari fill patterns listed in the mapping table will have a corresponding DGN hatch pattern generated automatically upon export. This hatch pattern will match the Vasari fill pattern. If you want to map a fill pattern to a specific DGN pattern from the currently loaded .pat file, do the following:
- Verify that the text box above the mapping table (Load patterns from) displays the name of the .pat file containing the desired pattern. (To load a different file, click
(Modify Export Setup), select a file in the Load Patterns dialog, and click OK.) - In the Patterns in DGN column, click the value for the pattern, and then select the desired pattern from the drop-down list.
You can click Reset All to change all the pattern values in the table back to {Automatically generate pattern}. Alternatively, you can multi-select rows and click {Automatically generate pattern}.
At the bottom of the tab, under Pattern Type, you can specify which type of fill patterns (drafting or model) are listed in the table. The available pattern options are the same, regardless of which pattern type is selected.
