When you are ready to create your own mass, double click to exit the default mass containing your imported site.
Next click Create Mass on the Model tab to start a new mass.
Because Vasari is a "work plane based modeler," you are always drawing or modeling on a specific work plane. Vasari starts with some default levels and reference planes. These serve as work planes to draw or model on.
You can also set your plane explicitly by selecting a level, reference plane, or other element in the model.
You can show and hide the current work plane by clicking the Show button in the ribbon.
You are now drawing on the current work plane. You can select from the drawing tools on the ribbon to place lines, rectangles, points and other shapes.
If you select the Draw on Face button in the ribbon, you can also draw directly on the face of an existing mass.
Clicking on the temporary dimensions allows you to modify the drawn lines precisely.
