You can define the following properties for metallic paint materials on the Appearances tab in the Material Editor panel of the Material Browser dialog.

| Color | Color of the metallic paint. Click the color swatch. In the Color dialog, select a color. (See Colors.) Click OK. |
| Flecks | Texture of the finished surface. |
| Top Coat | Type: Car Paint, Chrome, Matte, Custom. The top coat of paint appearance. Select from a predefined value. |
| Finish | Smooth, Orange Peel. |
