Pathway Properties Panel

Select a pathway line in the Grading Objects Browser or in the Visualisation Display to open this properties panel. Use this dialog to modify the constraints for individual pathway lines.

Property Definitions

Name

Specifies the display name of the pathway.

Maximum Slope

Specifies a maximum slope constraint for the path.

Symmetric Path

When enabled, changing the width or cross slope on the left side will also change its opposite side. Disable Symmetric Path to independently constrain the left and right sides of the pathway.

Left Side

When enabled, you can specify the width and crossfall constraints for the left side of the path. Click the square to the left to specify the colour representing the left side. When disabled, the left side of the path is not considered.

Width

Specifies the distance to the left boundary of the pathway from the centreline.

Crossfall

Specifies the maximum crossfall allowed from the centreline to the left boundary of the pathway.

Right Side

When enabled, you can specify the width and crossfall constraints for the right side of the path. Click the square to the left to specify the colour representing the right side. When disabled, the right side of the path is not considered.

Width

Specifies the distance to the right boundary of the pathway from the centreline.

Crossfall

Specifies the maximum crossfall allowed from the centreline to the right boundary of the pathway.

Profile

Profile generation is an experimental preview. When enabled, vertical curves controlled by profile constraints are placed along a pathway. As a preview, this feature is subject to change or removal at any time.

Crest K-value

Specifies the horizontal distance in which a 1% change in grade occurs along the crest of a profile.

Sag K-value

Specifies the horizontal distance in which a 1% change in grade occurs along the sag of a profile.

Minimum PVI Distance

Specifies the distance between Points of Vertical Intersection along a profile.

PVI Frequency

Specifies a relative number of PVIs that fits a profile to the surface. High will place more PVIs; Low will place fewer PVIs.

Colour

Specifies the colour of the representative point, line segments or areas of the grading object in the visualisation display.

Active

Enables the grading object to be included in the optimisation. When unselected, it is ignored.

Visible

Enables the grading object to be seen in the visualisation display. When unselected, it is hidden but still active.
