Windows Installer Error 1606

Issue

The installation files for the feature you are trying to install are not available in the expected location. This error condition typically occurs when an installer is faulty or goes corrupt.

Solution

Try installing the update or application again. If the error message persists, delete all downloaded files, and try installing the application again. To find folder containing the downloaded files:

  1. Click your Autodesk ID on the top right of the application window.
    Note: If you are not signed in, click the drop-down next to the Sign In button.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. If the Share Storage for Content Downloads option is selected, note down the folder name specified in the Location box. If not, note down the folder name specified in the Local Location box. This is the folder containing the downloaded installation files.
