Flow Render Submitter

The submitter window allows you to configure and submit render jobs from your current scene to the Flow Render cloud service.

Job Name

Specifies the name of the render job as it will appear in the Flow Render Monitor

Render Settings

Choose from the available render settings you wish to render with. Default is the active render settings.

Take

Choose from the available takes you wish to render. Default is the active take, but you can render all takes or all marked takes. Each take is submitted as a separate job.

Camera

Choose from the available cameras you wish to render. Default is the active render camera.

Resolution

Scale or override the render resolution. Default is the resolution defined in the selected render settings.

Frame

Select the frames to be rendered, either a single frame or animation. Default is the frame range defined in the selected render settings. You can render the current frame, all frames, the preview range defined in the timeline or a custom frame or frame range.

Frames Per Task

Sets the number of frames processed in each render task. This setting can improve rendering efficiency by reducing the overhead of starting a worker and loading the scene for each task. By default, each task renders 1 frame. If your frames render quickly, increasing this value (for example, 10 or more frames per task) can reduce overhead and improve overall rendering performance. If your frames take longer to render, the default value of 1 is typically recommended.

For example, rendering 100 frames with 10 frames per task produces 10 tasks that will run in parallel on 10 Flow Render worker machines (10 being the maximum number of parallel tasks on Flow).

Note:

This option is supported for regular renders and turntables. It is not supported for texture baking.

Download

Enable automatically downloading render outputs to the specified folder, assuming Cinema 4D is still running when the job is finished.

You can use some specific tokens in the path, besides the standard Cinema 4D tokens:

Note:

Using the same folder for local renders and download (e.g. $prjsavedir) is not recommended, because then Flow Render outputs silently overwrite your local renders.

Advanced

Force Upload Missing Files

Forces the re-upload of scene files that are now missing on the Flow Render cloud. Use this if the render fails due to missing assets, or when you suspect the previously uploaded files no longer match what's on the local machine (for example, after working on a different machine or after a long time since the last submission).
