Structural Analysis
Multi-threaded parallel analysis and improved memory management have been added to structural analysis.
Parallel Analysis
A new multi-threaded analysis mode, Calculate | Parallel Analysis, can significantly decrease analysis time for larger or more complex models.
It also improves memory handling by allocating virtual memory per thread, allowing larger models to be analysed successfully.
Results are numerically identical to a standard single-thread run.
Memory Management
Memory management for structural analysis has been improved:
- Less memory is required for analysis.
- Automatic reduction in memory usage by accounting for fragmentation.
