New Features
- Autodesk Access and the Autodesk Installer now support A/B installs of packages. This means that products can install newer versions while current versions are still running. We will be adding support for A/B installs to some products and shared components in the future. Only "Autodesk Shared Components" support this currently.

New Features
- Autodesk Access now gives admins the option to allow users without installation permissions on their devices to self-install updates. Reliance on admins can be reduced with users able to get up-to-date software through Access.
- A new
registry key is provided to enable the new self-install option.

February 2024 - v 2.4
New Features
- Autodesk Access now installs separately from the Autodesk Installer. When installed, Access includes the latest version of the Autodesk Installer as well.
- Access is included with all custom installs. For deployments, there is now an option to exclude Access from the deployment installation.
Note: When Access is not installed, some Access services that are part of the installer may still run on the device.

August 2023 - v 1.42
New features
- If you're a standard user and your Windows User Account Control (UAC) is set to "Never notify," Access won't install updates. Instead, you'll see a message that Access updates are managed by your admin. Once you re-enable UAC (move the UAC slider away from Never Notify), Access will allow update installation again.
- The default value for the updates filter had been changed:
- Previously, the default was to show updates for only the past three months.
- The new default shows all updates.

- Fixed a bug in the redirection to Autodesk Account from the Access user menu.
- Fixed an issue causing a crash.
July 2023 - v 1.41
New features
- Behavior of the
DisableManualUpdateInstall registry key has the following change:
- Now, if you set the value to
1, Access won't launch at startup and the Access icon won't display in the system tray.
- As before, setting the value to
2 will show available updates to users without the ability to install.
Note: Users can still launch Access via the Start menu. When users close Access, all Access services quit and the Access icon is removed from the system tray.
- When not signed into Access, users now see the message, "Sign in to view all available product updates." Users should be signed into Access to be certain they see all updates they're entitled to.
- At first launch, users will see Access gathering information about installed products before loading a list of available updates. Previously, Access displayed the incorrect message that products were up to date.
May 2023 - v 1.40

- When using the
DisableManualUpdateInstall registry key we have made the following changes:
- Setting the value to
1 will maintain the current behavior.
- Setting the value to
2 will show available updates to users without the ability to install.
- Filter updates by recent date ranges using the dropdown in the upper right of the update list.
