Assistant references Autodesk product documentation (help.autodesk.com) to provide relevant, contextual answers.
In products that support this capability, Autodesk Assistant offers personalized Insights to help you work more productively — such as a shortcut for a task you do often or a feature you haven't tried. Assistant bases these Insights on how you use your product, not on your model or design content.
Insights appear only when your recent activity matches one. When one is ready, it appears as a card or a brief notification. Selecting it starts a new chat with that context. Your previous conversation isn't lost and remains in your chat history.
You control notifications. You can't turn Insights off, but you can turn notifications on or off in Settings. With notifications off, Insights are delivered to your chat history instead.
Autodesk Assistant is a powerful productivity tool, but like all AI systems, it has limitations. Assistant does not browse the internet by default, though some products may enable an MCP tool for internet access. AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. Always verify important information before acting on it.
