No. AutoCAD Electrical mobile app is installed directly on your tablet, so you do not need to connect to the internet all the time. Drawings that have being opened while you are connected to the internet will be available for offline access.

It is currently not supported for iPhone and Android devices. It supports iPad with iOS 7.0 or later.

What type of files does AutoCAD Electrical mobile app support?

For editing and viewing, it supports file formats such as DWG, DXF, DWF, PDF, PNG, CTB, SHX, TTF, JPG, BMP. It also supports the AutoCAD Electrical project file, the WDP format.

How to open a drawing in the AutoCAD Electrical mobile app?

In the AutoCAD Electrical mobile app, the file browser shows the list of drawings, projects, and folders that you have uploaded. Tap on a WDP project file and in the Project Manger, browse the folders and tap on a drawing to open it.

Can I open a drawing in the File Manager instead of opening a drawing in a project (WDP)?

Yes. AutoCAD Electrical app searches the project WDP file from the drawing folder upwards in the hierarchy tree and matches the drawing to its related project WDP file. You can then view all drawings in a project in the Project Manager and surf components.

If you placed the project (WDP) in a folder below the drawing folder in the hierarchy tree, the drawing is not matched to its related project.

Which languages does the AutoCAD Electrical mobile app support?

AutoCAD Electrical app supports nine languages: English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish. AutoCAD Electrical app detects and displays the device's language you set.
