MLEADER (Command)

Create a multileader object consisting of an arrowhead, a leader line, and a multiline text object.

To create a multileader object

  1. Click MLEADER alt
  2. Click in the drawing area to specify the leader's arrowhead location.
  3. Click to specify the leader's landing location.
  4. Enter the desired text in the text box. Use the text height field below the text box to change the text height.
  5. When finished, Click the check mark.

To modify the text of an existing leader

Double-click the text and make any text changes in the text box.

Warning: If you modify existing multi-line text that was created in the desktop version of AutoCAD, any stylization and formatting will be lost. This means items such as bold italics, justifaction, bulleting, and other text features will be deleted from the multi-line text object.

To edit an existing leader

You can click a leader and then use the associated grips to move it. You can also use the MOVE command to move a leader.

About associativity

Leaders are associated with the object to which the arrowhead is attached. If the object is relocated, the arrowhead is relocated, and the landing stretches accordingly. The text remains in the same location.
