MTEXT (Command)

Creates multi-line text in the drawing.

Modifying existing multi-line text

Warning: If you modify existing multi-line text that was created in the desktop version of AutoCAD, any stylization and formatting will be lost. This means items such as bold italics, justification, bulleting, and other text features will be deleted from the multi-line text object.

You can always use UNDO (Ctrl or ⌘ +Z) to undo your changes.

To edit text

Double-click an existing multi-line text object.

To create text

  1. Click MTEXT alt
  2. Specify the first corner of the text box.
  3. Specify the opposite corner.
  4. Enter text in the text box. You change the text height by changing the value in the input field below the text box.
  5. When finished, click the check mark. alt
