There are two ways in which you can manage the privacy of a shared file. You can set a password when you share a file and you can turn off share for a file after you've shared it.
You can set a password while sharing a file through a link or via email but not while embedding it.
To set a password while sharing a file
You can use the Shared Link On-Off feature, if you do not want a file that you shared to be accessible any more. When you turn off sharing, the link to the file will no longer open the file. The next time you turn on sharing, a new link will be generated.
When you do this, any previously shared links and embedded links will expire.
Anyone who tries to access the file using the previously shared link will see the following message:
Unauthorized
