To prevent installation of the Autodesk desktop app

Block the installation of the Autodesk desktop app with your stand-alone product.

The Autodesk desktop app notifies you as updates become available and keeps your software current. Autodesk recommends that you allow its installation. If you want to remove it, however, follow these steps:

1. In a plain text editor, such as Notepad, open the setup.ini file.
2. Find the "Install Execute & UI Sequence" section, containing EXE_SEQUENCE, INSTALL_SEQUENCE, and UI_SEQUENCE statements.
3. In each of these three statements, delete the following string: ADSKAPP;
4. Save and close the setup.ini file.

Note: If you're an administrator following the standard deployment process, simply deselect the Autodesk desktop app in the installer.
