Select Views and Sheets to Publish to the Cloud

After updating a cloud model, use the Publish Settings tool to select views and sheets of the model to publish to the cloud.

When you publish a model in the cloud, the default 3D view and all 2D sheets are published by default.

If another person has control over a view or a sheet that you want to save in a set, you can make a request to borrow the view or sheet. You cannot save it in a set of views for the cloud model until the request has been granted and you have loaded the other person's changes to it. See About Editing Requests.

Note: When you publish models, they are visible to external stakeholders. Only publish versions of the model that you want external stakeholders to see.

To select views and sheets to publish:

  1. Click Collaborate tab Manage Models panel (Publish Settings).

  2. To create a new set, in the Publish Settings dialog, click (New Set). Enter a name for the set, and click OK.

  3. To modify one of the existing sets listed in the top pane, select a set and do one of the following:

    Tip: To sort the list, click the Include or Name headings.
    • To duplicate the set, click (Duplicate Set). Enter a name for the set, and click OK.
    • To rename the set, click (Rename Set). Enter a new name for the set, and click OK.
    • To delete the set, click (Delete Set). Click Yes to confirm.

  4. To edit the contents of the set, select a set and do one or more of the following:

    • To filter the list of views and sheets by type, click the Show in List drop-down.
    • To filter the list of views and sheets by name, click in the Search box and enter a search string.
    • To preview a view or sheet, click its name in the bottom pane and click Preview.
    • To select views and sheets for the set, click Select All, Select None, or click the check boxes in the Include column.

  5. In the top pane, click the check box in the Include column to choose one or more sets to publish to the cloud.

  6. Click Save & Close to save your changes to the sets.

  7. Use the Synchronize with Central tool to update your changes locally.

  8. Publish selected views and sheets for the latest version of the model to Autodesk Docs for Government.
