File Statuses and Reviews FAQs

File Statuses

You can check the review status of a document by viewing the Review status attribute in Document Management.

Note: See Document Attributes to display the Review status attributes if it's not showing.

There are three review statuses:

  1. In review: Document is submitted for review and awaiting approval or rejection.
Note: Documents already in review before 20 September 2022 may not display this status.
  1. Approved: Document is approved after final review.
  2. Rejected: Document is rejected after final review.

In Review Status

The In review status contains extra information for when a document is submitted for multiple reviews. Hover over the In review status to display the relevant review IDs links and the review status.

Project administrators can click the review links to open the reviews in the Document Management Reviews tab. Project members can only access the links they have permission for.

Note: If the same version is being reviewed in multiple reviews, the review status will always be In review even if the document has been approved or rejected in some of the reviews.

Reviews FAQs

Find answers to frequently asked questions about working with reviews in Document Management.

Question 1: Can I create issues within a review?

Answer 1: Currently, it's not possible to create issues from inside a review.

Question 2: If I select the option to copy approved documents to another folder location, will associated markups also be copied?

Answer 2: Currently, markups are not copied when approved documents are copied to another folder.

Question 3: Can I limit who can see markups that have been added as part of a review?

Answer 3: Currently, markups added to documents from inside a review are published by default, and so are visible to all project members. Currently, it's not possible to create private markups or to limit markups so they can only be seen within a review. The ability to add a markup also depends on a user's folder-level permissions.

Question 4: When using a group review template, can reviewers see comments from other reviewers?

Answer 4: Yes, anyone who is part of a group review can see comments added by the other reviewers.
