Control Model View
View Orientation
- Orthographic. Orthographic 3D views show the building model in a 3D view where all components are at the same depth.
- Perspective. Orients the view to a perspective view which portrays height, width, and depth.
- Perspective with Ortho Faces. Orients the view to a perspective view.
Home View
The Home view is a special view stored with a model that makes it easy to return to a known or familiar view. You can designate any view as Home during your current viewing session.
- To define a view as Home, click ViewCube menu > Set current view as Home.
- To return to the Home view, click the Home button near the ViewCube.
- To reset your home, click ViewCube menu > Reset Home.
Once you exit the viewer, the Home view will reset to its default view.
Front View
You use the Front view of a model along with its Up direction to specify the direction of the faces of the ViewCube.
- To define the front view, click the ViewCube menu Set Current View as Front.
- To reorient the view to a preset orientation, click one of the faces, edges, or corners on the ViewCube.
- To view an adjacent face, click one of the triangles near the edges of the ViewCube.
Interactive Orientation
- Click and drag in the direction that you want to orbit the model.
